Terms and conditions
You are welcome to use the designs here for your own tattoo and to reuse the published prompts. These terms explain what else is and is not allowed, and the limits of what this site can promise.

Agreeing to these terms
By using celtictattoosdesigns.com or any of its language versions (“the site”), you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. “We” and “us” mean the independent publisher of Celtic Tattoos Designs.
What the site is
The site is a free reference about Celtic tattoo designs and symbols. It offers a gallery of AI-generated designs, articles about symbols, history, placement, cost and aftercare, and an Ogham name converter. Everything is provided for general information and inspiration. It is not professional, medical, legal or translation advice.
About the AI-generated designs
Every design in the gallery was generated with an AI image model and then reviewed, as described on our about page. Please keep in mind:
- Designs are concepts, not stencils. AI images can contain mistakes in the knotwork, such as crossings that do not alternate or strands that end abruptly, even after review.
- Photos of designs on skin are not real tattoos. They are generated images that show how a design might look in a placement.
- A professional tattoo artist should redraw any design before it is tattooed, to correct the knotwork and fit it to your body. You are responsible for the final design you choose to have tattooed.
How you may use the designs and prompts
You may:
- save designs and show them to a tattoo artist,
- have a design, or a version of it, tattooed on yourself,
- ask an artist to adapt, combine or redraw designs,
- copy and reuse the published prompts to generate your own images,
- share a link to any page, or share a single design for personal, non-commercial purposes with a link back to the page it came from.
You may not:
- sell the designs as they are, for example as prints, stickers, stencils, flash sheets or digital downloads,
- republish the gallery, or large parts of it, on another website or app,
- download the site’s content in bulk with scrapers or automated tools,
- claim that you or anyone else drew a design that came from this site,
- use the designs or text in a way that is unlawful or that promotes hatred.
The legal status of AI-generated images varies between countries. To the extent that we hold any rights in the designs, the prompts, the text and the selection and arrangement of the gallery, you may use them only as these terms allow. If you want to use something in a way not covered here, contact us first.
The written content
The articles, symbol guides, translations, page design and code of the site are our work and are protected by copyright. You may quote short passages with a link to the source page. Please do not copy whole articles or translations.
Health and safety
Getting a tattoo carries real risks, including infection, allergic reactions to ink, scarring and poor healing. Information on this site about pain, cost and aftercare is general and may not apply to you.
- Always choose a licensed, reputable tattoo artist and studio.
- Follow your artist’s aftercare instructions over anything you read online.
- Talk to a doctor before getting tattooed if you have a skin condition, an allergy, a blood disorder, a weakened immune system, are pregnant, or take medicines that affect healing.
- See a doctor promptly if a tattoo shows signs of infection.
We are not responsible for any tattoo you get, or for its results, based on information or designs from this site.
Accuracy of history, meanings and Ogham
We research the history and meanings of Celtic symbols carefully and say clearly when a meaning is modern. Even so, scholarship changes and mistakes can happen, so we cannot guarantee that everything is complete or error-free.
The Ogham converter gives an approximate transliteration. Ogham was written for early Irish, so some modern letters have no direct equivalent and are replaced by the closest sound. For anything permanent, check the result with an expert. The same applies to any Irish or Scottish Gaelic wording: use a qualified translator before you tattoo it.
Advertising and links to other sites
The site may show advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense. Advertisers are responsible for their own ads and the products or services they offer. An ad appearing on the site does not mean we recommend or endorse it.
We also link to other websites, such as museums and reference sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
Acceptable use
When using the site, please do not:
- try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its hosting,
- use automated tools that place an unreasonable load on the site,
- use the site to break any law.
Normal search engine crawling and AI crawlers that respect our robots.txt file are welcome.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do our best to keep it accurate and online, but we do not promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or suitable for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, its designs or its information, including any tattoo you decide to get. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if the law of your country gives you consumer rights that these terms cannot remove, those rights still apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add new features or advertising. The “Updated” date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
